Michaelswood is a beautiful forest of remembrance planted in memory of Michael Ferrie, who was a founder member of Fiddlers’ Bid. The way in which the trees have taken hold and grown in the ‘unpredictable’ climate of Shetland is a huge testament to the strength shown over the years by Michael’s parents, Ray & Betty, and his brother Alan. It’s a special place to be and is regularly visited by members of the public and schoolchildren from all over Shetland.
